Hildegard
Hildegard is a vibrant community of producers, educators, and innovators from 11 different countries and 4 different continents, bound by a shared passion for electronic music technology. Founded by rave musician and music-tech enthusiast Gannon Gallo, we aspire to foster collaboration between those separated by physical space, empowering members to push boundaries and develop their craft within interactive research groups.
We're named after Hildegard of Bingen, who was a composer, mystic, and innovator. While her work wasn't celebrated much in her time, she's now an inspiration for our commitment to creativity and experimentation who pursued her dream despite its unconventional nature in her time and skepticism from others.
Our members dive into cutting-edge tools and techniques, from creating immersive audio-visual experiences with TouchDesigner and live coding performances in Strudel, to designing custom synthesizers in HISE and other modular environments. We provide guidance in vocal mixing and mastering, utilizing software like Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and FL Studio, while also exploring experimental approaches to sound design, production, and instrument creation.
